Our large secluded campsites will easily accommodate your group. The grassy wooded sites are all within close walking distance of the river. Fire pits, picnic tables, privies, shelters and water are all provided.
There is no electricity that would allow for modern day annoyances to ruin the tranquil vacation setting on the river.
At our island campsite, you can canoe right up to your tent. And at our downstream camp, we have a dock where you can fish or just sit and watch the river go by.
Reservations are required for camping and recommended for watercraft rentals on Saturdays.

Firewood at the Manistee River Campground
We have firewood for sale on site, and ask you to please not bring your own. Our firewood is cut from the local area, dried, and is inexpensive. At Chippewa Landing we know the importance of a campfire while camping, and you will not find a bigger bundle of wood for sale. We also sell face cords and half face cords for large camping groups, or just long stays at our campgrounds.
