Chippewa Landing has a second Northern Michigan campground that offers full hookup sites complete with water, electricity and sewer. The Oak Grove campground has a bath-house, camp store, and the same friendly service that Chippewa Landing has always excelled in. This Northern Michigan campground is located just 6 miles north of Chippewa Landing, just off highway US 131.
Oak Grove campground is located right next to the (Miss-Kal) snowmobile and ATV trail, just minutes from the North Country Hiking Trail, and of course close to the Big Manistee River. You can literally ATV, snowmobile or hike from your campsite to the many trails that intersect right next to Oak Grove Campground. Area lakes include Headquarters Lake, Spring Lake, Fife Lake, Lake Mitchell, Lake Cadillac, and Lake Missaukee are all just a short drive away and Traverse City's East Bay and West Bay are only 30 minutes away.
Oak Grove Campground is surrounded by thousands of acres of state land and offers a great camping spot for deer hunting, small game hunting, mushrooming in the spring, or snowmobiling in the winter. And with Chippewa Landing being so close, enjoying the Manistee River is always a great option. Rent river rafts for a great color tour in the fall, fish from a canoe for great spring time trout fishing, or tube and kayak on those hot summer days. We provide a personal shuttle service to the river and back to your campsite.

Firewood at the Manistee River and Oak Grove Campgrounds
We have firewood for sale on site, and ask you to please not bring your own. Our firewood is cut from the local area, dried, and is inexpensive. At Chippewa Landing we know the importance of a campfire while camping, and you will not find a bigger bundle of wood for sale. We also sell face cords and half face cords for large camping groups, or just long stays at our campgrounds.
